We played in Tullahoma, TN last night at the Celtic Cup. That place is a gem in that town; great atmosphere, and the owners Chris and Denise are so nice. The audience was an attentive one, happy to buy some CDs. Had a long drive to Knoxville afterwards, rolled in about 2am. Up early this morning to wish our friends farewell as they left for the beach. Leaving for Johnson City soon to play on WETS fm, the college radio station. We'll play the Acoustic Coffeehouse there tomorrow. Get to do some more exploring (and more rehearsing) with our free time.
On our way to Tullahoma, we stopped in Louisville for a less-than-stellar open mic. Non-stop rain on the way to Nashville for a songwriter's night followed by an open mic. We got to perform a single song, but it was enough that we were asked to come back to be featured in one of the songwriter nights. Mission accomplished. Gotta keep getting our feet in doors in Nashville.
We're fortunate to have such generous friends on this trip- free places to stay and free food in Louisville, Nashville, and Knoxville so far. And great support in Nashville, several friends came out to visit and watch our one song. Thanks guys and gals, you are all very appreciated. We look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.
