After a brief hiatus from touring for St. Paddy's Day, we've hit the road hard. Played a sports pub in Elizabethtown KY, met some very cool people and definitely look forward to getting back down there for more shows (May 20th to be exact). Had a long drive to northern Georgia to resume the down-south portion of our tour. Drove through some snow to play a house show on top of a mountain; beautiful view, beautiful people, and some beautiful music by some of the accompanying artists.

We made a stop in Athens on our way from the house show to Milledgeville for the next show. Athens is such a cool town, we look forward to playing the Terrapin Beer Co there tomorrow. Milledgeville is a remarkable community, considering most people haven't heard of it (ourselves included til a few weeks ago). The downtown is loaded with local restaurants, shops, cafes, and more, all adjacent to the college campus. All the franchise businesses are on the outskirts of town; the setup makes it easy for citizens to help local business to thrive.

Speaking of great districts, we were in Decatur GA last night. It is to Atlanta what Broad Ripple is (or at least used to be) to Indianapolis. You could park and visit at least a dozen worthwhile eateries and drinkeries within a stone's throw. The weather has turned beautiful, so we got to play on the patio of the Java Monkey to a very supportive audience.

(Pre-show drinks in Decatur)

By the weekend, we'll be on the beach in Charleston SC, with an outdoor show Saturday afternoon, but not before we stop in North Carolina for a gig in Gastonia. Tuesday and Wednesday we revisit Johnson City and Nashville TN, looking forward to seeing again old friends and new.

The road, the new places and new faces have reignited the songwriter in Gus. He can hardly wait til our next stop to bust out the guitar and let the ideas flow through. If we didn't already have so many songs ready to record, I'd say you'd be hearing them on an album later this year. We look forward to returning home and seeing all of our closest again. We're thrilled to bring the band back together for some shows in Indiana while we're there, specifically April 8 in Greencastle, and of course the big show at the HiFi on April 22 with Fort Frances. Pat Kane will be adding piano to our little duo at an intimate show in Greenwood on April 7. Hope to see you all soon!!!
